ZESA reverts to stage two load-shedding

The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authory, ZESA, has reverted to stage two of load-shedding barely a week after the power utility had announced that it was easing on power cuts.

Last month Zesa spokesperson Mr Fullard Gwasira, announced that they had downgraded load-shedding from Stage two to stage one following an influx of 400 MW from Eskom of South Africa.

Gwasira announced on his twitter handle that load-shedding is back at stage two following ongoing repairs on major stage two unit.

However his Minister, Fortune Chasi, has been giving an impression that power supply will be improving significantly as an additional 80MW boost is expected to the national grid from Hwange.
