The owners of Harvest house speak out
The directors of Harvest house have confirmed MDC Alliance as the rightful occupancy of Harvest House (also known as Morgan Tsvangirai House.
Two MDC factions, MDC-T led by Thokozani Khupe, and the Nelson Chamisa led MDC Alliance had earlier clashed over control of the opposition’s headquarters situated at 44 Nelson Mandela Avenue in Harare.
Subsequently leading to a hostile take over effected by the Zimbabwean National Army and Police officers in favour of Khupe’s faction.
The private property had housed Nelson Chamisa’s MDC Alliance’s faction after the death of their leader Morgan Richard Tsvangirai in 2018.
In a letter The Tabloid received, Harvest House property directors, Timothy James Neill and Muteto Makone gave a telephonic confirmation none of the MDC factions owned the land, rather, MDC Alliance Party had the company’s undisputed permission and blessing to occupy the property – not MDC-T.
