Job Summary


 

To manage stocks inclusive of supply chain processes, goods receiving, warehouse management, dispatch and Driver support services.

 

Duties And Responsibilities


 

Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received and palletisation of goods.
Ensure that recording of any damaged, missing or faulty goods has been done by Stock Control Clerks.
Signing the delivery form/invoice, once satisfied that the goods are complete.
Ensure that Goods Received Vouchers (GRV) are fully completed.
Packs goods received to the allocated area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment
Labels goods with the expiry dates.
Storage & Stock Control
Allocating storage space to goods.
Relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new deliveries in line with the First In First Out (FIFO) method.
Keeping records of goods, their location and quantity.
Coordinating and monitoring daily stock counts and month end stocktake.
Checking and balancing physical and electronic stock.
Investigating all daily, weekly and monthly variances and queries from stock status reports.
Coordinating stock take activities.
Stock variance investigations and reporting.
Goods Out
Verifying goods before issuing.
Checking invoices, receipts before issuing.
Preparing delivery notes before dispatch.
Coordinating collection of orders with Sales Executives and Clients.
Records all stock movements
Procurement & Logistics
Initiating stock replenishments
Approving purchase requisitions.
Negotiating favourable Supplier terms.
Liaison with Clearing agents.
Pre – trip services for Drivers.
Trip reconciliations for Drivers
General Responsibilities
Compliance with security procedures and safety & health.
Maintaining the warehouse in a tidy state and clearing away packing
Security
Preventing unauthorised access to Inventory either physically or electronically
Safe-keeping all stock records.

Qualifications And Experience


 

QUALIFICATIONS
Higher Diploma/Degree in Stores/ Purchasing and Supply.
EXPERIENCE
At least three years’ experience in a similar or related role.
