Norma Gigaba is now going by her maiden name – Norma Mngoma.

She made the announcement on Instagram. Her caption to a picture read, “Let me reintroduce this beautiful lady, who I’m crushing on her today WCW…Vir. Her name is Norma Mngoma, I’m so excited to use my maiden surname again, this is who I am and where I belong … my IG handle is @Norma.Mngoma and on Twitter @normangoma New beginnings.”

This follows reports that Malusi Gigaba has filed a divorce from Norma, after the two failed to resolve their differences.

According to reports from the Sunday World paper, Malusi wants custody of the children and Norma to only get visitation rights.

Malusi who reportedly earns R150 000 a month wants Noma to contribute to the maintenance of the children although she is currently a student at Villioti Fashion Institute.

Norma and Malusi’s marriage is believed to have been a time bomb waiting to explode after it emerged that the couple had several problems.

Malusi’s thirst for women proved to be detrimental to the couple after it emerged a few years ago that he had an affair with SA socialite Buhle Mkhize, who is based in the US.

Norma and Buhle had a fight that spilled on to social media with both women mudslinging each other, including Norma calling Buhle a prosti_tute.

After the scandal, Norma took Malusi back citing that she realized that she loved him.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was when Norma keyed Gigaba’s expensive BMW vehicle, which he had borrowed from his friend Siyaya Peterson.

It emerged that Norma wrecked the car after she discovered that Malusi cheated on her once again.

She was arrested by the Hawks after her husband, former cabinet minister Malusi Gigaba opened a case against her claiming she had damaged a Mercedes G Wagon.

She appeared briefly before the Hatfield Magistrates Court earlier this month. She’s facing charges of malicious damage to property and crimen injuria. Her bail has been extended until her next court appearance in September.
