“As the Secretary-General of the Movement for Democratic Change-T (MDC-T), the one that contested elections in July 2018, hereby formally notify you as the Speaker of Parliament that under the powers vested in me, I am recalling Hon. Priscilla Misihairambwi Mushonga from representing the MDC-T as the proportional representative Member of Parliament under our party list of Bulawayo Province. As the Secretary-General of the Movement for Democratic Change-T(MDC-T), the one that contested elections in July 2018, hereby formally notify you as the Speaker of Parliament that under the powers vested in me, I am recalling Senator Mildred Reason Dube from representing the MDC-T as a Senator for Bulawayo Province,” read part of the letter.

Nyikadzino appointed himself the Acting President of the MDC-T after he fired party President Thokozani Khupe from the party. He mentioned that Khupe had fired herself from the party by accepting to become MDC-T acting president as instructed by the controversial court ruling.

“In the absence of another top leader in the party, it means i will act as the president of the party as im the most senior member,” Nyikadzino said.
