The Minister of Energy and Power development, Advocate Fortune Chasi, has hinted on the government’s plans to install electric charging stations for electric cars in Zimbabwe.

The announcement by the Minister comes at a time when Zimbabwe is facing serious power shortages as electricity is connected to citizens for less than eight hours a day.

The initiative intends to cut on fuel importation bill which is currently at US$80 million monthly.
